Children's book illustrator and painter: This well known author and illustrator of childrens books is also a painter who often chooses to paint on recovered wood. Her humorous view of the world brings a magical quality to the many childrens books that she has illustrated. Trained in London, her eye for the inner humour and an ability to characterise the personality of birds, animals and people make her art accessible to adults too, and very collectable. Her paintings on wood bring a three dimensional touch to interior design and living, as well as creating lasting childhood memories. The quirky sculptures and mosaics that adorn her house in France, reflect the passion of an artist, to draw out the art in everything around her.
